Meditation in general starts with breathing control. Playing didgeridoo does exactly that. therefore... |

I believe that the didge is a positive vehicle for release and has helped me to deal with issues that I otherwise would not have consciously dealt with. If I need to let something go or want to feel peaceful then I just play the didj. It has been very effective for me in maintaining personal balance and clarity. |

Being a spiritual medium I rely on visions and communication from the other side for my business. I find the didgeridoo allows me to ground and receive my own visions for my life when I am away from clients. |

I own a few different albums produced by various Didgeridoo players which I enjoy playing in order to relax my thoughts before I go to sleep. The music is always able to lull me into a peaceful state of rest before I do doze off. |

The clarity of my inner vision is better. I 'see' pictures with my mind not like imagination though. When I close my eyes there is not black rather there are 'movies' of intricate designs geometries and sometimes life events. This is not like imagining because I have no idea what will come next and my thought is not ahead of it or making commentary. This is also not drug-induced in any way as I prefer not to allow drugs into my experience ever. I personally don't like the didgeridoo's association with a certain 'chemical subculture' if you will. I think the instrument has a power of its own that will manifest without ingesting any external 'help'. |

Prior to trying this I read that the vibrations from the didj are supposed to be an aid to letting go of tension; the tension itself is vibrated out of you while you drone. I focused on this notion and tried to mentally see stressors falling away from my body. |

Playing almost always leads to meditation for me. The vibration of the didj reverberates in my chakras and I end up putting it down and falling right into meditation. |

When making basic drones and just relaxing your whole body it creates a sense of well being. You become the didgeridoo you become the drone. It's extremely relaxing after a long day of work. I love coming home taking a hot shower and sitting in my hallway wooden chimes combined with my didge is one of the most beautiful sounds I can imagine. |

As I become more experienced I can begin to feel the vibration rather than the rhythm. I can turn away from needing to concentrate on what I am doing and experience how the vibrations are affecting my inner mind allowing me to create images and thoughts that have nothing to do with the "real world". I can allow my inner mind to travel its own journey without the contamination of the conscious mind. |

The only reason I have not used my didj for meditation is because I don't feel the one I currently have matches me as a person. I would like to acquire one that I naturally sync with after which I think I could meditate much more easily with it. |
