We shouldn't be and it would seem that the Aboriginal peoples had it about right. Those who survive whatever environmental/war/other catastrophe will have to learn what they already know overnight. We should start learning it now.

Anonymous I don't think I know what the most important thing would be that Westerners could learn from Aboriginal people. It depends on the person I think -- how to live well and how to avoid otherwise is a lesson each person learns on one's own.

Anonymous I think what we can learn from the aboriginal people goes much deeper than their art and music they are some of the few cultures left that are so in tune with nature most people have strayed away from nature to hide in the comforts of society if our planet is to survive we should look to these people to relearn to live in harmony with this planet

What can be learnt from other (perhaps older) cultures such as that of Aboriginals is different perspective on what it means to be a human being. And this very website is an example of what can be learnt via seemingly such a little thing as an old instrument.
