Name withheld by request I love all kinds of music and didjeridus just have that belowing sound that goes right through you.
Alex Mornhinweg from Germany amazes me...
Alicia DeFrancesco from USA I love the sound of the didjeridu, and I would love to be able to play one someday. I have always loved music, and this type is a wonderful part of a culture that I feel should be more widely publicised and experienced.
Andy Malone from USA It puts me in a calm trance where life can be beautiful. Although I have never played one, I would like to very much.
ann carter from USA sound is very peaceful, very back to nature. it seems to take you to another world.
Name withheld by request it's drives me easy, let me go to another world when I play it.
Name withheld by request when I play I come in a relax and find somethink fly around me and ...I am floting
Arthur Carter from Korea Soothing and spiritual... I can feel increased universal energy flowing through my body.
Barbara Fuller from USA I just listened to sample files on your site, but the didj sound seemed to permeate my body. Surprising!!!
Ben Shelton from USA Didji music effects my body and soul. It almost seems if the air changes around me when a drone emits from my didji. Playing one or trying to...seems to make the world and all of it's troubles simply dissapear because you are only focused on the task at hand. It makes you think of the wildness and superb stillness that runs throught nature and the sound of a didji seems to cover both.
Name withheld by request Indescribable
Bent Lonrusten from Norway Calming and mindblowing
bill cultor from Germany makes me forget myself
Name withheld by request MELLOWS ME OUT
Bill Taylor from Australia Spiritual
BODIN ADRIEN from France résonnances, vibrations lentes et rythmées, attaques avec des cris plus ou moins aigus, variations des rythmes
Name withheld by request If I had discovered the didge 20 years earlier I'd be a master by now. We were made for each other even though our cultures are miles apart! The didge speaks to my heart!
Bostjan Penko from Slovenia it hypnotises me and remotes me far from everydays problems
Brad Horne from Australia Indescribable. Sometimes haunting, somtimes primal, always emotional and relaxing!
Name withheld by request Healing, mysterious, spiritual.
Brent Eno from USA The sound is very soothing and interesting at the same time. It is an excellent stress reliever.
Name withheld by request Entrancing! Amazing!
Brian Kerber from USA First I would like to clarify. An electronic music composer, Steve Roach turned me on to didg. He is absolutely excellent at playing and uses the didg to conjure up ancient atmospheres. He also uses traditional methods and sounds etc.. I also love David Hudson's cd's which are much more traditional. I'm sure I would completely enjoy old field recordings too! The effect that didjeridu sound has on me is hard to describe. I am very much into ancient cultures of North and South America and Australia. I study daily through reading books about our ancient cultures and their way of life. I have come to believe that the ancient ways of life that survived for so many thousands of years were much more in harmony with living on this planet than our current Western physically obcessed and spiritully devoid ways. I cannot believe how white man obliterated so many different cultures and called THEM "savage". I truly believe that the ancient ways were more spiritually in tuned with "everything" than we are today. Didging is a way for me to connect and represent that belief. To call the ancient spirits up and to ask for their guidance through todays times. To connect with an ancient way of honoring the earth and to further meditate upon those beliefs that I have listed above.
Name withheld by request It is a soothing and amazingly natural sounding instrument.
Name withheld by request freedoom
Carlos Ballester from USA When I start to play my didj I first sit with it close to my mouth ready to play. Before I begin I breathe slowly and concentrate on my rythim and tempo for a few moments.I then slowly bring it to my mouth and begin playing, usually in 3/4.Since I am not very accomplished this is very relaxing but easy to play,it inevitably brings a smile to my heart(I don't want it to bring a smile to my lips for obvious reasons).I then usually start to play faster in 4/4 time and try to add vocals. As I a accomplish more and more I get very excited.Nothing is better than wanting to make a particular sound and then actually hearing it after much work.I was recently at a friend's house for dinner. There were about ten guests for dinner at this house that is going through a major renovation.Among the discarded building materials was a piece of pipe.It was small in diameter but I wiped it clean and started to play. Two of my friends were fascinated by it eventhough the sound was mediocre at best.It was great to introduce my friends to the didj. For me life is about interacting with others and expressing yourself, playing my didj is about this. When I am vibrating my didj it's a complete, fulfilling, soul expressing activity, life at it's most basic and wholesome.
charlene sieffert from Canada hypnotizing, rhythmic
Chris Low from Australia the didjeridu has the most buitiful sound of all instruments along with the harp. Although the didj has andvanced ability to word paint over all other instruments therefore making it the best instument I have ever heard. The didj also has an extrodanary cultural significance which I believe is great! Listening to the didj makes me nostalgic and often redjuces me to tears. The most buitiful senario I heard the didj being played in was alongside a bassoon at the National univercity in Canberra.
Chris Murphree from USA A natural high!
Christian Casonato from Italy It's the power of the sound that make me feel good, calm, better with the athers, and gives me energy.
Name withheld by request its a relaxing sound, helps me clear my mind
Christina Forbes from USA crazy, it's not like any other instrument. Because it's so unique I love it
Name withheld by request After about 20 minutes of playing, it feels as though my entire body is in tune with the didj. It's a good thing!
Craig Watson from USA I am extremely atracted to the sound of the didj. The first time I heard one I knew that I wanted to learn to play one.It would be so wonderful to play this interessting and wonderful sounding instrument.I love the sound so much I'd play it all day and most of the night, and probably sleep with it as well :-)
dan jones from USA sense of calm, peace feeling of letting go...
daniel leach from USA When I was about fifteen, I had this re-accuring dream where I was play a didg. I went to this place in va. beach called the heritage store, edgar cayces workshop, And there was a man play in the store. The sound it made paused time and brought me back to my dream. I talked to him and told him that I didn't know what a didjeridoo was but I knew how to play it. He told me that the aboriginal culture was the oldest culture on earth and if I were reincarnated it was possible I could of been a native australian. He told me how to make one out of pvc. About a year later I went to this canal in front of my house and did some deep chakra meditation. On the banks of the water, there lied a hollowwed out piece of bamboo. I dried it out and burned sage through it and melted bees wax on the skinnee top part. I could imitate the noises from my dream only for so long. I tried making a bigger one out of pvc thinking that I was doing it wrong but I still couldn't figure it out. About 2 months ago, 10 years later, I came across this really odd store and they knew nothing about didjeridoos. They sold me a 5' hand carved indonesian didg with salamanders on it . This guy from new zealand came over my house and freaked out saying that he had never seen anything like it. I know that there are few things in life that are persistant. these reaccuring dreams are one of them. I hope that someday I can come to australia and learn what I have been dreaming about.
darin petersen from USA I find the sound of a well played didgeridu to be very moving especially when it is played in the traditional manner. It is hard to explain but it sounds like the begining of time, or like the sound of creation.
Darrin Krug from USA I find that the instrument intensifies the music at hand.
David Born from USA very pleasing and calming.
David Herrera from Spain it's pretty low one, but....anyway my didjeridoo is not good at all, and I can't stop this feeling of wanting something better when I see some pleople playing their "cool" didjs on the street......time will tell
Name withheld by request The sound of this instrument has the ability to make me feel calm and tranquil. It also makes me feel like I could tap into ancient memories.

Name withheld by request I first heard a didj at a local street fair 11 years ago and the sound spoke to my soul. I learned to play with Allen Shockley as my teacher. I play every day and consider it a vital part of my life. I also have a small didgebox that fits in my siutcase when traveling.
Diego Molina Serrano from Spain Relax and if I a bit worry I forget it if I play it. (In these days I'll keep in touch with you because I want to buy a didgeridoo)
Douglas Madea from USA Pleasant eeriness that permeates the entire being.
Douglas Woods from USA I drop deep into myself. In a word or two: meditative, moving and deeply passionate. It is simply the "coolest" sound I have ever heard. I long to be able to play long and well. Since I was a young boy I had to find that sound I heard in occasional Australian movies I saw. Then one day I figured it out and went out and made didg out of PVC - it is just not the same - but it is my Methadone for now.
Duncan Griffin from Finland Makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck
Dylan De Mott from USA I feel as if I have been taken over, I have fallen in love with the instrument.
Name withheld by request when I heard the didj being played accompanied by simple percussion and guitar I was amaxed as to the complexities of the melodies, considering I'd always thought of the didj as a backing instrument- but it was sompletely suited to talking a lead part. trhe sound seemed to hit me like a wave- I could hear it but iu wasnt conscious of listening... as if it skipped my ears and climbed up my spine... it relaxes me, but has the ability to wake me up and raise the heartbeat too. as luck would have it I found a cheap diudj a few days ago and I'm now going for it!
