In your opinion what is the main difference between Aboriginal and Western society?

Al from Taiwan Science and technology
Alan from USA Technology.
Anonymous The advancements in technology and the way Aboriginal people are peaceful.
Anonymous from USA The respect for nature and oneself
Anonymous Progress.
Andrew Stibal from USA They are outcasts because they eat Alien babies for lunch and excrete piles off new technology that is way to advanced for the western folk so they call it a big pile of shit
Anonymous Culture
Anonymous from Australia Technology
Charles Buzbee from USA They live with nature.we use it.
Anonymous Connection versus disconnection
Christopher from Australia Indigenous health is at a lower level than that of Western Society.
Conor Jones from USA There is a lack of community in the greater part of the west. While some countries have much pride in themselves there is a great sense of community amongst aboriginal peoples that is not present in the west.
Daniel from USA Outlook on life
Daran Wallman from Canada Aboriginal society loves the earth and lives in harmony and balance with it. Western society takes from mother earth and is consumer driven.
Erik from USA [Generally Speaking ]Western Society is one of Consumption Political Manoeuvres for power and wealth; at all costs (from the destruction of natural environments and species because of our growth and human life itself). Aboriginal Society is one of connectedness with the earth from which we all are.
Gary from Canada Greed and our dissociated connection to the earth
Janice from USA They don't have all the stress of living up to unreal standards
Jeff from USA Relation to the earth
Anonymous from USA Materialism
Joe from USA The main difference is the enjoyment and different pace of life. Many Westerners would view that pace as a vacation. Not so.
Anonymous Its age. The aboriginal culture is probably the oldest continuing living culture on the planet. This is spite of invasion by whites.
Anonymous I do not know
Anonymous from Canada Their pace of life. Most Westerners barely take the time to breathe. I think that their goals in life are one and the same it's just how they pursue it and their level of consciousness that differs. These of course are huge generalizations.
Anonymous The language(s)
Anonymous Material things
Matt from USA Their culture of beliefs
Michelle from USA Western society is way too materialistic harmful to the environment greedy wasteful.....enough said.
Anonymous from USA I don't know enough about Aboriginal people to answer with any confidence.
Paul from USA In general Western societies seem to have lost their connection and appreciation for nature.
Richard from USA More peaceful and lives with nature
Scott Estrich from Australia Cultural difference based on social and economic values and philosophies.
Anonymous from Australia Aboriginal people seem to have a greater connection to their surroundings. Westerners seemed to have become disconnected.
Anonymous The Western company forgot its past its origin the Aboriginals knew to keep this knowledge they remained connected and do only one with the whole.
Steve from USA How success is defined
Taylor from USA I don't really know as I am immersed in Western society. I can only speculate. It's easy to idealize Aboriginal societies from the Western perspective and I'm sure it's also equally as easy from the other side. I would guess that one of the main differences is that most Aboriginal communities place a much higher value on community interconnectedness than we do in western society.
Tish Peterson from USA Western society is no longer human.
Tomasz from Poland The difference is in a way of thinking and habits probably but generally we're all humans and we should learn from one another.
