Police use pepper spray on menacing bull

Extract from Australian Broadcasting Corporation - ABC Online, on 11 August 2004

A Northern Territory police officer has used pepper spray on a bull while investigating a domestic disturbance in the community of Barunga, south-east of Katherine.

Two officers went to a home in Barunga in the early hours of this morning but found the bull, named Mimi, butting at the front gate when they went to leave the property.

One officer used the spray on the stubborn bovine to allow them to return to their vehicle.

Last month, the same two officers were forced to leap a fence after Mimi suddenly emerged from some bushes and charged at them.
