Extract from Australian Broadcasting Corporation - ABC Online, on 29 April 2004

Former Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) leader Geoff Clark is continuing his Federal Court challenge over his suspension as chairman, despite the body ceasing to exist.

Geoff Clark was suspended after being convicted of obstructing police during a pub brawl in the Victorian town of Warrnambool.

The Melbourne hearing is centring on the legislation Indigenous Affairs Minister Amanda Vanstone used to terminate his appointment.
