ATSIC commissioner to remain on committee

Extract from Australian Broadcasting Corporation - ABC Online, on 2 October 2003

ATSIC's central zone commissioner has decided to stay on a national committee into violence against women in Aboriginal communities.

Alison Anderson had resigned, claiming her role had been compromised by a culture of bullying within ATSIC.

But after meeting with the ATSIC board, commissioner Anderson says her concerns have been addressed.

"The outcome has been very positive and I'm supported by the board 100 per cent," she said.

"I've accepted the apology of chairperson Shane and I maintain my position as chair of the section 13 committee," she said.
