Anne Bienvenu from France

I really was very impressed the first time and very intrigued. the fact that a simple piece of wood produces as much effect at the bottom of me, it was very disconcerting and very pleasant. since I often listen to didgeridoo to release me or to meditate even simply in background music at the time of dinners, I noticed that people were slackened.

Anonymous

Amazing, a sound I never forgot. I could feel the vibration through the wood even though I wasn't that close.

Anne Langley from United Kingdom

Curious. But didn't think I'd be able to make the sound. But last night a friend played his new didj - Bloodwood, in G by Jala from Queensland. And could feel it vibrating right through me.

I felt like it was something I could get into. The instrument is so unique and it is amazing that no didj in the world sounds the same because there are no two that are the same. Also, each player plays it differently and that lends itself to being unique. I was very impressed on how many noises can come out of a hollow stick and I have been interested ever since!

Jason Greenwell from Australia

I was playing saxophone in a funk band and a friend of a friend known as 'Mick the Didge' sat in on a live gig. We played this tune in the key of D and halfway through we broke it down to just percussion and didge. He was doing a lot of howling and harmonics. The audience loved it and it just changed the whole feel for the piece. I though it sounded amazing, but couldn't understand how the circular breathing thing worked at all. I tried it on my sax but it wasn't the same. I mentally added it to my list of instruments that I'd like to learn to play one day.

Jeanette Fitzgerald from Australia

Larry Pike from Canada

I'm a bass player and was completely blown away by the rhythmic nature of the didj combined with the unique sounds. It was something I had to learn but, until recently, haven't put enough serious effort into it to get anywhere beyond basics. I went through a period of not playing much of anything (not even my bass) and have just recently started playing with any seriousness again. This time I am determined to improve beyond basic blowing but I'm still having difficulties with the circular breathing. There are no players where I live to learn from so I'm just kinda feeling my way along with any info I can find on the internet to help me out.

Surreal Sound

Michael Henderson from Canada

I friend of mine's mother brought him back two didj's from Aus. He's a sax player and was really interested in circular breathing. He and his girlfriend could get the sound no problem. I just couldn't do it! It became a BIG joke. Every time I came over I tried and tried. NO luck. It took me over two weeks just to get a rumble out of the smaller didj. I decided that this was ridiculous, so I made a didj out of PVC. I practiced and practiced. Then after about two months of rubbish, it got it. I played for and hour and got such a buzz I was leaping around the room. My body wanted to dance!!! Very good feeling.

Mind boggling, heard an artist named "Nomad" who put out a cd called Nomad. I have been looking for straight Didj music since and finally bought one (a cheap Indonesian, I was swindled!) and found your site recently through a friend who bought a REAL ABORIGINAL from you guys!

I was perplexed. I heard the didj before I saw it. I was camping with friends and we had come back from a hike. As we made it into our campground we were like, "What the hell is that sound?" It took me 3 years to finally save enough to buy my first didj.
